matterbright ("we", "us", "our") is a federally incorporated Canadian business operating under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

We only collect information you provide directly to us through our contact and service inquiry forms:

• Business information: company name, website URL, business description
• Project details: scope, timeline, budget range, and other details relevant to your inquiry
• Uploaded files: logo files or design assets you attach to a form submission

We do not collect payment information, create user accounts, or use cookies for tracking or advertising. Our site analytics are anonymized and do not identify individual visitors (see Section 5).

2. Why we collect it

We collect your information solely to:

• Respond to your inquiry or service request
• Assess whether we are able to help with your project
• Communicate with you about a potential or active engagement

4. How we store and protect your information

Form submissions are delivered to us by email via Resend (a Canadian-friendly transactional email service). Submitted information is stored in our email inbox and is not entered into any CRM or external database unless we begin an active project with you, at which point we may store relevant details in project management tools.

We use reasonable care to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. Uploaded files (such as logo files) are processed in memory only and are not stored on our servers after the email is sent.

We retain your information only as long as it is needed to respond to your inquiry or fulfill our obligations. Inquiries that do not result in a project are typically deleted within 12 months.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services in the operation of this website:

• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure. Vercel may log anonymized request metadata (IP address, browser type) for security and performance purposes. See Vercel’s Privacy Policy.
• Vercel Analytics — anonymous, aggregate website traffic analysis. No cookies are used. No personally identifiable information is collected or stored.
• Resend — transactional email delivery. Your form submission data passes through Resend to reach our inbox. See Resend’s Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties, except as required by law.

6. Your rights under PIPEDA

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Withdrawal of consent — ask us to stop using or to delete your information
• Complaint — file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated
